Deep Wind Offshore at Almedalsveckan: Who Benefits from Offshore Wind Power?

November 5, 2024
The Almedalen week is the political event of the year in Sweden.

Deep Wind Offshore is proud to present a panel discussion during Almedalsveckan, the premier political event of the year in Sweden. Almedalen Week is an annual political gathering held in Visby on the Swedish island of Gotland. This summer event spans a week and serves as an open forum for politicians, business leaders, organizations, media, and the public to discuss and debate a wide range of political, social, and economic issues.

The session will be moderated by Lina Kinning of the Swedish Wind Energy Association, with a focus on a critical question: Who benefits from offshore wind power? We have put together a panel of four experienced industry experts, each bringing diverse backgrounds and perspectives to the discussion:

• Kristofer Fröjd, Strategy and Development Manager

• Sten Trolle, Segment Manager Renewables, Sweden, Hitachi Energy

• Elin Akinci, Founding Partner, ELS Analysis

• Knut Vassbotn, CEO, Deep Wind Offshore

Offshore wind has the potential to create significant value nationally, regionally, and locally. How can we ensure that these large investments benefit the country and the regions close to the wind farms?

If you are in Visby during Almedalen Week, we invite you to attend the event. Don't hesitate to contact us to set up a meeting!
