Deep Wind Offshore wind farm, Erik Segersäll, is under development in Sweden’s exclusive economic zone (LSEZ) in the Baltic Sea. The distance to Gotska Sandön is just over 30 km, and to Fårö almost 70 km. The distance to the Stockholm archipelago it is more than 40 km.
With a water depth of 100-200 meters, floating foundations moored to the seabed will be used for development of this offshore wind farm. Erik Segersäll wind farm has the potential to produce up to 19,5 TWh per year. 20 TWh corresponds to the entire energy consumption of Stockholm County in 2020.
The Olof Skötkonung offshore wind farm is expected to produce up to 7,5 TWh of renewable electricity, corresponding to the combined electricity consumption of Gävleborg and Uppsala counties in 2021.
